Set in the world of Ivalice, Final Fantasy XII: Polemistis, Iroas, Oloi (Greek for Heroes, Legends, All!) is an crossover novelization of the newly releaed Final Fantasy XII. In fan fiction community terms, crossovering is when an author 'merges' cast members from seperate franchises. In this case, FF XII: PIO merges six characters from Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X, and brings them into the world of Ivalice just as we gain control of Vaan. Thus, PIO is a retelling of the videogame in a written format, but with characters from the previous games in the Playstation generation.
