Welcome to Arcanum, a site dedicated to a story project authored by the site's owner and designer, Doublehex. The author has based the story off of many sources, such as the book of Revelations, Freudian Psychology, the Xenosaga series of videogames, and Warhammer 40,000, as well as Norse and Greek/Roman mythology. Combining these sources, he has created a unique vision of the future that few will likely to have ever seen before. He hopes that you will join in the ride. He recommends you start off by reading the background page, since it contains a vast amount of back-story, although none of it is vital and spoilerish, since this exact information is revealed in baby-size pieces throughout the story. After that, if you are confused on some aspects or have some questions, you should read the FAQ. Once that is out of the way, you are more than welcomed to read the first chapter, at the chapters page.
